    1. 136 + ___ = $800
    I jumped 136 to 150 which is 14
    then I jumped 150 to 200 which is 50
    then I jumped 200 to 800 which is 600
    so 14 + 50 + 600 = $664
    2. $350 + ____ = $510
    I jumped 350 to 400 which is 50
    then I jumped 400 to 510 which is 110
    so 50 + 110 = $160
    Hard
    1. 1950 + ____= 9000
    I jumped 1950 to 2000 which is 50
    then I jumped 2000 to 9000 which is 7000
    so 50 + 7000 = 7050

    2. 4510 - 2997
I am going to change this to 4513 - 3000 by adding 3 to each side
    so the answer is $1513

  5. Dear Mr Spice and Class
Thank you for including myself and Mr Chittenden in your weekly word problem, please note the correct spelling of my name. If you could please pass onto Ben Hughes a message - that you cannot buy a Big Mac in Singapore for $4. Mr Chittenden had to buy a combo instead. He took some pictures and we will send them through tomorrow at some point.
